Excited to try a new recipe and had extra peppers so stuffed peppers were what was on the dinner menu. After dinner went downtown to see the snow sculptures and they did not disappoint. With the warmer weather I not sure how long they will be up for. So glad Stillwater has this winter tradition to continue a few more years.
Recipe for the Stuffed Peppers
6 Peppers (can be any color)
Filling:
1 pound of ground beef browned
1 small onion
1 cup water
1 pint stewed tomatoes
1/2 cup white rice
1 can tomato paste
1/4 cup brown sugar
salt and pepper
Mix above ingredients and then stuff the peppers. Put in a crock pot on low for 6 hours.
