Canning Season has begun.

I went through my cupboards today in search of what I need to can for the winter months. Upon review of the cupboard we are very light on beet pickles as well as tomatoes. I am hoping the dill pickles are pretty good but if Katie finds them I should probably can a few of those.

We went to the Woodbury farmers market this morning and I was able to find some beets for sale. I made up a pot of them and got 2 quarts and 4 pints. I will have to do another batch but I feel this is a good start and I have already heard one pop! Below are the photos of my process.
